You&#39;d have to get a 368 conditional release signed by the first general in your chain of command. If you enlisted in 7/17, I personally don&#39;t think your chain will sign the release as you are new to the unit, however the answer is &quot;No&quot; to every question you don&#39;t ask. Your first step would be to contact a guard recruiter and see if they will take you, then they would request the 368 to be sent up. Best of luck!

Find your nearest Guard post that is an infantry attachment and as long as you can get approval from your current commander you should be able to apply for a transfer! I would contact the nearest Guard unit and inquire if they have any openings they must also be willing to send you to infantry training as well! At least you have basic out of the way!
