FA40 is a functional area. For most functional areas you must be branch qualified and captain career course complete. There shouldn’t be any issue at all. As long as the school and program are properly accredited your degree should be ok LTC Jason Mackay Tue, 06 Oct 2020 21:26:16 -0400 2020-10-06T21:26:16-04:00 Response by SGT Stephen Perry made Oct 6 at 2020 10:50 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-likely-is-it-to-go-from-enlisted-to-officer-fa-40-with-a-degree-in-space-studies-aerospace-science-concentration-from-amu?n=6378045&urlhash=6378045 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes it is possible but I suggest that you try and get pinned SPC before you drop your packet so you get the echo identifier and pay bump that goes with it. Unless I’m mistaken the echo identifier is only available for e-4 and above. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. You would probably do better looking for a contract job that pays way more.
