SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4568940 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been entitled to the with dependent rate BAH for the last 16 months since my son was born, but have only been receiving the without dependent (as I was pregnant). This is pay I am owed. I was just wondering if after this form makes it to finance, and all the paperwork on my side is good, how long does it normally take for me to get my money back? TIA How long after submitting a pay inquiry does it take for DFAS to deposit back pay? 2019-04-22T12:54:03-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4568940 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been entitled to the with dependent rate BAH for the last 16 months since my son was born, but have only been receiving the without dependent (as I was pregnant). If you waited, one maybe two pay periods. If you submitted immediately and did not check until now shame on you, contact the 1SG immediately for support. Thank you for your service. If I was you, I would go to DMPO and go straight to the source. Also, I would call dfas to see if it&#39;s even been submitted to them, and if so, then your just waiting on them. I did not go through S1, I just went straight to finance. The six month delay I dealt with was the people in finance not doing their job with the pay inquiries and supporting documents I dropped off every month for six months.<br />When I finally called DFAS, the guy had my problem fixed in 15 minutes and showed up on the next LES.<br />So the answer is it takes 15 minutes when someone does their job. That&#39;s assuming everything on your side is good and there are no other factors such as you being married to another service member.
