<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have what the LT is talking about (commissioned May 2015). I am USAR, and that might make a big different than NG. I recall getting it in the mail and thinking, what&#39;s this? oh, that&#39;s neat. I don&#39;t recall the time line, but it wasn&#39;t quick. <br /><br />It&#39;s on par with a quality printed college diploma signed (presumed printed) with the Sec Army signature. <br /><br />There is also a regulation we can get these every promotion, and you can mail in a request with your promotion orders. I did this, and guess what, my request came back via US Mail &quot;return to sender&quot;. Oh well, just another regulation that&#39;s outdated and the address doesn&#39;t exist anymore. <br /><br />The only reason I tried was my Grandfather has one for each of his WO ranks. He was discharged at his previous rank, and commissioned in his new rank with a fancy new diploma style commission document.

I am not familiar with Guard or reserve commissions but it did take some time for my active duty signed commissions to come through. I think mine came through my chain of command and it was a surprise as I didn’t give much thought about them. However, they do look cool framed and hanging. Not everyone will have this at home.
