Although the process seems easy, they’re needs to be a documented reason to make her a dependent. Additionally, even if she is qualified as a depended, she would need Command sponsorship to come to the island and receive housing which can only be done if your brother has 12 months remaining on island SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 13 Mar 2020 01:16:13 -0400 2020-03-13T01:16:13-04:00 Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 13 at 2020 7:13 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-long-does-it-take-to-make-somebody-a-dependent?n=5656909&urlhash=5656909 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It&#39;s called &quot;Secondary Dependency&quot; or &quot;Non-primary Dependents&quot; for parent, parent-in-law, step-parent, parent by adoption, or any person who stood &#39;in-loco parentis&#39; (in the place of a parent) to you for at least five years prior to your emancipation.
