SGT Private RallyPoint Member 1337013

I left active duty in November and processed into my Guard unit in December. I didn't reclass or anything like that, just simply took of an active unit patch and put on the Texas "T". How long will it take for me to receive my EAB, and who can I contact for more info? My readiness NCO says he will look into it, but I think he's already done his piece by submitting the bonus paperwork. That is where I would go to and see if they can help. They should have gave you a time line. Sometimes it is delayed on purpose until you are there for a certain period of time. Once complete should be paid to you in a week or two. You don't get it automatically because the Reserve Component Career Consolers have some SM who fail to show up at their assigned units after leaving AD. If you just came from active into the Guard the Guard wants to make sure that you are a drilling member before they pay the money. Sometime people are no-shows. There is nothing your unit needs to do. When you got off AD the Inter-Service Recruiter submits all of your paperwork straight to NGB. It will take anywhere from 90-120 days for it to process and you will have a LES on MyPay. Your Readiness NCO can look at it in GIMS and see where it's sitting at ie:DFAS etc.
Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 27 at 2016 8:40 PM 2016-02-27T20:40:17-05:00 2016-02-27T20:40:17-05:00 Sgt Joshua Seavey 1337524

If you have an admin section (place you get processed into the unit (paperwork)) I would go there. Usually they have someone that sits at a desk and you sign in with you issue, question, reasons for being there and they will direct you to the correct person.

Now keep in mind I'm a former Marine and all branches operate slightly different so I could be off a little, but your admin section which usually does the paperwork ... Should also be responsible for anything to do with pay so that's where I would start.

Another thing you could do is directly ask your readiness NCO if he/she knows and if not where they recommend checking. If they give you crap then go above them and let the next higher know what's going on. You can't get in any trouble because you are following your chain of command.

Those ate the steps I would take if needed to know.
Hope this helps Response by Sgt Joshua Seavey made Feb 28 at 2016 12:36 AM 2016-02-28T00:36:45-05:00 2016-02-28T00:36:45-05:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 1338012

Should be about 90 days, give or take a month.
What is *supposed* to happen is that it is an automatic entry and processes once confirmed that you are in position and sometimes (if that stipulation exists) qualified.
Murphy's Law says things don't always go that way.
I've had to submit perhaps one in five manually. Typical reasons why things get hung up are FLAGs that remain in the system or some kind of miss entry in the coding during outprocessing from AD. These sometimes require some gymnastics to identify and solve.
If you aren't squared away by four months in, I would suggest submitting a pay inquiry and determine if there is a hang up of some sort.
