No, I doubt we will ever see the services agree on one particular uniform. Watch this, I make that assertion and the change is announced tomorrow...Response by SrA Andrea West made Dec 6 at 2014 2:32 AM2014-12-06T02:32:24-05:002014-12-06T02:32:24-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member694742<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have seen a few. From BDU, DCU, ACU, and now Multicams. I have the Gray PTs then the new ones and now the Black PTs. All things change in time.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made May 25 at 2015 3:11 PM2015-05-25T15:11:45-04:002015-05-25T15:11:45-04:00TSgt Private RallyPoint Member879595<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Having survived the years of Uncle Tony (Gen McPeak), and his choices. We, the services, really need to take a hard look at the number of uniforms we really NEED. When I enlisted, I was issued Service, Service Dress, and utility (fatigues). Eventually, we went to BDUs. About the time I retired, we added the AF PT uniform. Now, I understand the powers that be wanting to establish some standard for PT as you would get all sorts of clothing, there maybe some debate there, being worn. How difficult would it have been to state appropriate PT wear is dark shorts, white tee? Served me well over the course of my career. Let's simplify the Soldier, Sailor's, Marine's and Airmen's life and get back to basics in regards to uniforms. Not to mention the savings we can pass along to the American tax payer.Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 10 at 2015 7:19 PM2015-08-10T19:19:00-04:002015-08-10T19:19:00-04:00TSgt Private RallyPoint Member879621<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went through three major working uniform changes in the Navy. Dungarees to Utilities to NWU. Accompanying these, there was a change to coveralls policy with the Utilities since you couldn't realistically do real work in slacks; and a change the office wear alongside the NWU intro. Plus I was in the Seabees, so along with the fleet uniform changes: they also went from BDUs to NWU-type3.<br />To top it off, now I switched to Air Guard so I'm wearing the tigerstripes.<br /><br />Yes we need one working/tactical uniform across the branches. <br />Further I think there should be one design for office wear with just different color schemes per branch.<br />Everyone can go nuts on their full dress uniform.Response by TSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 10 at 2015 7:29 PM2015-08-10T19:29:03-04:002015-08-10T19:29:03-04:00CPO Charles Helms1814109<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>From 1969 until retired in 1991 the Navy went through 4 uniform changes, all a pain in the butt for the sailors!! Why is the branches of the military are never satisfied with a uniform that is practical and well received by all!! This uniformity crap that all branches of the service have to look alike is pure BS!!!Response by CPO Charles Helms made Aug 17 at 2016 4:36 PM2016-08-17T16:36:38-04:002016-08-17T16:36:38-04:002014-12-06T02:22:13-05:00
