The same as everyone else, MOS is not factored in to pay. Look at an enlisted pay scale for rates.

Until you graduate, you are not a 68W so you will be paid as if you were an 71H

You will get paid E-1 pay. $1,638.24 per month. Give or take $100.00

Well base pay for a PVT is about 1500 a month and 68W training is about 20 weeks so 7,500 before taxes. That's not including going out on weekends once you phase up and extra stuff you get there. When I went through AIT as a 68K we still had platoon sgts, it's all Drill SGTs now

PVT, there are only two reasons to ask a question, because you want to be noticed, you want to look smart and you already know the answer; or you really, really need the answer and couldn't find it on your own. The google is your friend. I have made privates push and push while I google things for them on the same smart phone they have in their pocket. So $1638.30 before taxes, on that you can not afford an Ford Mustang at 22% interest. Or child support; so keep that in mind when your wandering the river walk with the girl you met in your platoon on day one.

I was pretty sure it's based on pay grade might get a lil bonus or something for going through AIT but I'm not sure.

Why are you asking this question here? Evidently you have access to the internet. That being said, you can look up the information that’s right there to see. If you’re not getting what your supposed to get, then you need to see your DS/PSG and have them do a pay inquiry.

Pay isn’t based on your MOS. It’s based on time and rank.
