Should I get to the range on my own regardless so that I can have a current score on the books? But, if you find that you do fall under exemption requirements, then make sure you have that exemption, sourced and written in an official memo from your Commander, then included in your packet. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 28 Mar 2016 16:57:39 -0400 2016-03-28T16:57:39-04:00 Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Mar 28 at 2016 6:02 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-should-i-handle-being-told-that-i-am-exempt-from-weapons-qualification?n=1410774&urlhash=1410774 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They don't have requisite weapons for you? You can get a waiver, which means for promotion they will use your last qualification (2 years ago in this case). Or you can find a unit nearby that does have weapons and is willing to sponsor you for range qualification.
