How to get into WArrior training rehab program?

Hello, My son is at FLW for BCT. Got information from him that he has stress fructures and will be sent home. I wonder if there is a possibility for him to get into Warrior training program? He wants to stay in the army, is it also possible for him to be recycled in to another company? I have very little information on him as when he called he called his old grandma who is in US and I am overseas and he can not call me.
I am really worried as I have no information on him and do not know if he has other options then just returning home.

Depending on how bad his stress fractures are they could take six to nine months to heal. I had stress fractures in both legs from improperly training for a couple of races. In some ways they are worse than a regular break. Again, depending on how bad his are they aren't going to hang on to him and wait months before he can begin his training again. Right now he needs to focus on healing and following his doctor's instructions.

He's in BCT or was. Stress fractures are tricky things and take time to heal and heal properly. The Army simply is not going to retain him for that length of time especially since he has not even completed BCT. He will be rolled back to start BCT at a later date all over again, IF he passes the MEPS physical again. If he had made it through BCT and gone on to his AIT then the story might be different.

If you are referring to the Warrior Transition Unit when you say “Warrior Training Program”, the answer is no. The regulation specifically forbids anyone who is in Initial Entry Training (BCT and AIT) from entering into the WTU. Only personnel who are fully trained and qualified in their military job are eligible.

I worked for the WTU at Fort Leonard Wood (since been closed down) for several years and have a medical background. The original intent of the WTU program was to rehabilitate those who had been injured in war, not as a holdover site for trainees. With that being said, injured trainees can be recycled to subsequent training if the injury timeline allows.
