How can I replace some limited edition challenge coins? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-to-replace-limited-edition-challenge-coins

Without getting into too much detail as many I worked with are on here and I don't want some sort of witch hunt starting, I was given between 2003-2010 3 very special coins from my command. They were very limited - one was a general's coin, the other two were OIF I/II Raven coins from 81st brigade. They had serial numbers. Apparently someone I worked with felt they deserved them more - they among other awards and gifts were stolen. It has been over a decade - however my now 18 year old son gave me for Christmas a Challenge coin stand. I would dearly LOVE to have replicas of the ones I had been given. Does anyone know how to go about getting them? I do not want some stolen valor cheap knock off. You don't want to be known as a Pos. Maybe if those that gave you the coins still have some they can give you you might be able to recreate the event so they remember the your actions, otherwise I doubt it.
Unless you mean a coin with a serial number embedded - Then you may have a good chance of getting it replaced. Military exchange, Ebay and a quick google will show a long list of companies that sell military coins and can design a coin to fit your needs. You could also reach out to the unit and see where they have coins available. It would help if you have a personal record of the serial numbers.
Best of luck to you SGT David Schrader Wed, 29 Dec 2021 23:06:51 -0500 2021-12-29T23:06:51-05:00 2021-12-25T21:28:56-05:00
