1) Identify the problem.
2) Correct the problem.
3) Make sure the problem doesn't happen again.

Remember, we need to get back to "safety" before we light the person up. If we light him up and something happens from the time you identified the problem, and the time you corrected the problem it is on YOU.

Ask for their medical waiver form (aka. Tennis shoe chit) because there must be a ligitmate reason for this. If there is not let the counseling and extra duty begin.

At first I was going to ask "What's the issue?" until I read the comments (and took a second look at the picture) and realized what this Sailor is wearing.

So the first thing I would do is ask for their tennis shoe chit. If one did not exist/was expired I would then say "Follow me. We're going to see your LPO."

Well you can also make sure they stay past when every one else has left to make up for the time that they had to spend leaving the work area to correct their equipment. You waste our time I waste your time king of thing. there are always cleaning duties that need done. Also they can be safety monitor for a while. Get a brightly colored vest and they can go around checking everyone's equipment. We got a Dora the explorer bag because people were leaving things around that they shouldn't. It is funny seeing them explain the bag to the Chief...
