Maybe it's different for the feet? Honestly, I'm not sure. And I doubt your Recruiter would do anything to lead you down the wrong path, just do what he says and you should be alright. You can come back at anytime. No one cares you cancelled the day before. However, if you come in with something that isn’t healed they will send you away and tell you to come back when it is healed with your medical documentation. Then you wasted everyone’s time. Including your own. Your recruiter is correct. Come back when it’s gone. Problem solved! I had mine cut out before I made the switch from the Reserves to Active Duty. Good luck with them and I hope you caught them before they reached the point where you need surgical intervention. Cancellations happen all the time. MEPS sees these all the time, trust me. I cancelled three times, twice on the day of.

It's just a matter of your recruiter making a new appointment and making sure you are good to go. You want to be your best when you go in, MEPS and your recruiter want the same thing. The goal is two visits and done. SSG Brian G. Its sole purpose Is to ensure anyone entering the Armed Forces meets the established medical standards. So not really being part of the Army, they dont care how many times you cycle through the local MEPS station, they only care that you clear all the standards during your visit. Wounds or issues with the feet can be a disqualifying issue because your using and on your feet almost constantly in BCT. So it is better to wait until the issue clears up before attempting to clear MEPS. I had 13 warts on my feet 29 days ago. I found a podiatrist that has cleared all but 2 up. She is watching the big one that year visible wart is gone to make sure there is no regrow. She thinks I’ll be good to go to meps after my next appointment in about 13 days. She is amazed at the speed, all I could say is God deserves all the glory!
