I have my associates degree and want to get a bachelors while in the Army ROTC. Can I join the Military Police after graduating from ROTC?

I became MP platoon leader in my California ARNG after completing OCS. I am sure you have active duty, Army Reserve and Army National Guard slots available Nationwide.

Officers don't get to pick their jobs. You'd be able to guarantee it more in the National Guard but it's still the Army. As far as active duty, you get to tell them what you want to do and then it comes down to the needs of the Army and your performance in ROTC.

If you join the army as an officer and you somehow get MP don't expect to be doing much if any law enforcement. As an officer you will be doing more administrative functions.

ROTC has 2-3 year programs to get commissioned.

I was also branched MP after ROTC. It was not my first choice.

In the guard and reserve you can get a memo from a unit accepting you in to any slot you qualify for to get the branch you want. If you are interested in serving in the reserve this is a great system.

Active they do a good job of getting most people something in their top 3 choices.
