SSG Leonard Johnson 521876

Dear ladies... Or for that matter anyone who has knowledge on this subject.
I have been tasked at my college to assume the role as a as a person who is advocating and supporting equal rights and equal treatment of all women. Basically (and I'm not trying to downgrade anybody or anyone, it's just the assignment I'm supposed to do during the discussion).... I'm taking the extremist most Karl Marx's view there is (that's my assignment). I would like to get some ideas from the females in the military on what their idea of equal rights and equal opportunity is to them. No matter what side you may be on this issue. Here's how I'm presenting my argument please tell me what you think. I'm not saying I subscribe to these ideas and I don't, it's just the assignment so please forgive me.
Okay here's my idea on the debate and argument: women are completely equal to men and men are completely equal to women. So it is our humble opinion for the advancement of women's rights that there should be no special circumstances in the criminal aspect. All women are equal to men and can stick up for themselves in this matter. For example Rice in the elevator when he gave his girlfriend a beat down, there should be no harassment charge, assault charge towards women or anything of this nature because we are equal to men and men are equal to women. All future rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault should be discontinued as a criminal conduct. We the people who believe in the further advancement of women, believe this is a bad stigma on the women and will hinder them in future job performance and ability if they are not treated as equal with men and should get the same amount of pay as men.
I could write more for y'all but I think you got the idea of where I'm going.
Again please don't yell at me this is not what I believe (or could be what I believe) I need help from female military members 2015-03-09T23:44:02-04:00 SSG Leonard Johnson 521876

Dear ladies... I didn't see this discussion until just now when it popped up as a Similar Discussion on a different thread.

How did this assignment turn out? I saw where you were going with the extremist point of view, but I was a little confused by the idea that there would no longer be crimes such as rape or sexual assault. Even with everyone being equal, these would still be crimes. Suppose it were a case of male-on-male rape... does it cease to be a crime simply because they are the same (and obviously equal) gender? Man or woman. If a (person) assaults another person they should have consequences. Any less and we are saying we no better than cavemen.
