What is your typical response when civilians say to you "I pay your salary through taxes that I pay. Therefore you work for me and have to do what I say"?
My normal response is, "I pay taxes too. Want to see my LES (well, when I was active duty. Now it's my retiree pay statement, lol)? Does that mean I pay my own salary?"
Or I would ask them for a raise!
