Being assigned to a command that supported Navy, Army and Air Force missions; and trained small contingents of Marines was one of the best things to ever happen during my career. It's really easy to get into your own bubble, and not realize that there is a wealth of knowledge out there to help out. The multi-service environment definitely pays big dividends.
