I want to re-enlist

I was Honorably Discharged March 2010, and would like to re-enlist. My question is I was in a bad accident and lost 90% of my teeth, No psychical problems besides that. Would this be a problem, and would I have to get them fixed prior to joining? Thanks!

As a former recruiter, I can tell you that you have to go through the MEPS process again and YES it's a possibility that you could not be medically qualified because of your teeth. Now a days it is almost 99% impossible to get back in to Active duty however the Reserves has an extremely push for prior services veterans to join their ranks! The only way to know is by talking to a local recruiter. Good luck and hope everything works out.

Thanks guys for all the replies, I will be talking to a local recruiter. That will be the first step, then I have to talk with my daughter mother to discuss a possible year round routine with my little girl. Unless it's reserves, I would volunteer for every deployment though.

I would normally say no it shouldn't be an issue, since they would regularly fix any dental issues before a deployment, but with the downsizing taking place at the current pace I would have to agree with some of the previous suggestions of checking with a local recruiter or if your are close to one go to a recruiting BN. Good luck with whatever option you choose.

I want to re-enlist but their is no opening in my MOS at the moment and I want to stay as a 88N

No you can re-enlist no problem! I did as well and I have no upper teeth.
