I was DA Selected for Recruiting. Due to shortages of Recruiters, what are the chances of going to WOCS, if even selected? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-was-da-selected-for-recruiting-due-to-shortages-of-recruiters-what-are-the-chances-of-going-to-wocs-if-even-selected

Fri, 01 Mar 2019 10:51:09 -0500 I was DA Selected for Recruiting. So you can escape at 2 years.
I'd have your packet in for the first board after your 18 months in USAREC time, that way you can be boarded and attend WOCS so to PCS right after your 2 year mark. His packet is in and he’s waiting on the board. Eight months since he became a Recruiter. According to Warrant Officer Recruiting team, DA will put you on orders for WOCS within 90 days of board selection and essentially your 2-3 year tour in USAREC will end when you graduate from WOCS (within 6 months of selection). When you return from graduation you immediately PCS to your new assignment (if not OCONUS). Husband specifically asked the recruiter if there is a waiting period of 2 years as the loose talk suggested and the Recruiter denied it (I was there and heard it firsthand). As for OCS, MG Muth said in a recent town hall to give him at least a year in USAREC and then submit a 4187 along with packet. That’s how I escaped USAREC. Do it. Best decision ever! CW3 Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 09 Mar 2019 22:23:43 -0500 2019-03-09T22:23:43-05:00 2019-03-01T10:51:09-05:00
