In ar 670-1 it states that it can not affect wear of head gear, maintain a clean professional appearance as long as the hair on top does not exceed to surpass eye brows or ears that includes being combed over. Also when I’m in civilians I wear my hair tied up because it’s easier to manage and not waste hair product. “I understand that most of you will say it’s easier to not have it that long” yes understandable but all of us are different. When my hair is tied up I’m still able to maintain the above regulation quoted from the male hair grooming standards of ar 670-1.
