Have you completed MEPS and sworn in or have you been disqualified? Were you disqualified, or incomplete pending a psych consult for something disclosed in the physical? If you want to have any chance of becoming qualified, then you need to go to the consult. If you were just moving furniture, it should not be a problem. What is the rest of this story? Being disqualified by a MEPS only means you did not get a 1 or 2 in the 6 categories of AR 40-501 Chapter 2. There are thousands of people serving today who were medically disqualified, and even more who would be DQ when they retired, if they were to take their initial physical at that time?<br />With this in mind, the main reason they would schedule an additional exam (your case a Psych) would to either close an open profile and qualify you or because it was requested by the service you were processing for before approving your waiver. Get checked out and cleared, and go on about your business. The fact that you&#39;re trying to duck out of it poses more concern than the fact that you were referred to one in the first place. If you know that you&#39;re good-to-go, then why not just do it, check the block and move on? It only slows the process a little, and does not follow you, if given the all-clear. So why bother trying to dodge it, if you want in that badly? That indicates that you have something to hide that&#39;s bigger than the little one-inch scar on your arm.
