They came to America as Redcoats, but felt the burning desire for freedom and joined the Continental Army and fought for the colonies to forge this great republic. They, along with thousands of former British subjects wanted freedom from the yoke of tyranny of King George and risked all to achieve that freedom. They set the foundation for all that has followed and I would have loved to be apart of that moment. No guns. No explosions. Spears, swords, and shields. Can you imagine that kind of combat? It's scary to think about, back in those days you had to know how to fight. Hand to hand. Man to man.
