If you could streamline one administrative process what would it be?

Awards and recognition. The process needs to be more streamlined, and of course it depends on the command. I do not agree with award quotas, or limiting awards by rank. If a E4 deserves a Commendation Medal then they should get a Commendation Medal.

Chapters! Took me a full year to get a Soldier chaptered out. AND - I had a binder of documentation to support the end result...chapter. Ridiculous.

For me it would be online training. I get BLARING WARNINGS every quarter about annual training. I keep my online training certificates ready for a quick draw so that I can whip them out every time higher asks me to prove that I don't need to repeat the ANNUAL training every QUARTER.

I would remove SSN's on all administrative documents (i.e., 4187's) including EDAS, EMILPO and others. I drafted a point paper while in recruiting and found that the use of personal ID numbers, now issued to new Soldiers by IACS/DEERS offices (IMCOM) was of great help, but as a former 42A, I know all too well how our SSN's can be used on virtually everything we do and what other agencies use this for their purposes (housing, finance, security offices, CCF).
