Due to another condition, I have to stay away from the radiation. Cracked out a filling and was hoping the DDS would replace her work, at her updated cost, of course. I wasn't going to pay for the consequences of the radiation exposure. When they responded saying an X-ray was to be performed before pre-examination, I decided to work through any pain that may rise, which so far luckily hasn't occurred. I have heard the condition of your teeth is essential to the care of your heart. If you're on active duty, you don't have a choice. I don't know how it works with action National Guard or Reserves. Use it regularly so it Prevents having tooth and gum issues. Also that means you need to brush those snaggles and floss regularly. it also wouldn't hurt to get a bottle of Listerine to rinse with to assist with preventing dragon breath.
I had a SFC platoon sergeant in Germany who did not go to the dentist and for the life of me couldn't figure out how he got away with it. He smoked 2 packs a day and shut down the NCO club drinking German beer all night. His had the most god awful nastiest breath. I swear it could choke a goat. His teeth were this greenish brown. His excuse was, He didn't like to smile. Seriously?!?! Your "mouth" is very important! Any kind kind of issue's that might go wrong inside your mouth such as a tooth ache can absolutely lead to much more serious health problems! A lot of people don't realize this....As a combat medic I saw a lot of this. I was with them and wanted to cancel my policy because my dentist didn't use use them because they had a problem paying. I tried to get 120.00 from them which I was charged, they wouldn't pay me either. They told I was stuck with the policy. I called my credit card company and they stopped the payment. I received 3 bills from them and I didn't pay them. DON'T USE THEM OR MET, THEY DON'T COVER MUCH 3000 I THINK TOTAL. DENTIST DON'T TAKE THEM. They good for cleaning only. We are stuck just like the rest of the population with crappy dental. I never suffered any mouth pain until after I was convinced to go to the dentist. This is one case where I recommend the old adage: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
