...possibly. I am currently a 68W in the National Guard. However, I am working on my Bachelors in Homeland security. Does this help in any way in this field, and if so would it make me "desirable" for a civil affairs position?

Compared to 37F, how high is the need for more 38Bs? And which would you say would be more difficult to obtain from an objective point of view?

Takes a special someone to do this career. Is a great mos to get into but not everyone is made for it so do a self assessment before taking on any MOS.

Should I manage to get back in the Army in the future, could you tell me if this would be a career field for someone that is interested in politics?

I am nearly done with my BS in Political Science/Criminal Justice. I have long wanted to work as an ambassador, so I think this would be right up my alley. I would want to go through OCS, so is this a possibility, and what are the specific functions of the job that get the most focus on a daily basis?

When are SFC's going to be allowed again? So I can submit my packet again, and hope that it will not sit in someone's desk and when I call I get told that a new MILPER message came out restricting the ranks that can apply

Is there a language requirement to re-class to CA? I feel confident on my other qualifications (BA Political Science, working on Master in Public Admin, currently working in State Govt. Admin) however language was a weak point of mine in undergrad, just wondering if this will hold me back

SFC Larsen, I'm a YG 2010 officer and I submitted my packet before the deadline last year. I wasn't selected to attend CAAS, but I'm not sure why. I got a 131 on the DLAB and my other qualifications were all satisfied. I continue to hear about there being an ongoing shortage of CA officers (my peer on the career course just came from a CA unit where he commanded as a very junior captain, but wasn't even a CA officer. He continues to tell me the shortage was, and still is, substantial). I called the SORB and asked them if there was any way for me to resubmit my packet, and they said no, they're strictly looking at YG 2011 officers.

My question is this: if the shortage of CA officers is really that bad, than why was my packet rejected without any reason why even though all requirements were satisfied and I did well on the DLAB? I want to be a CA officer, is there any way to resubmit my packet?

I'm on my 4th yr ARNG ,secret clearance, airborne qual,E-4, never been flagged, proficient in Spanish. ( not sure if the last matters). Could I reclass as a 38b in a reserve unit. Am I more likely to deploy as a 38B than as my current 91B mos?

I'm trying to discern between CA or SF, would you be able to map out as best you can what Team Leaders do in CA? Also what does the career progression look like after team time, because it's not like you have a lot of assignment options afterwards. Thank you very much.
