Is anyone aware of any ruck march events in the Midwest?

I haven't had too hard of a time finding running events to participate in, but I have had a hard time finding ruck marches. Is anyone aware of events in the Midwest? I have googled it, and only find goruck events.

are you trying to compete ... if so check with Military Operation section Because Ruck marches are Not a civilian Kind of thing...

I have only recently heard of a ruck march and it was on the radio in conjunction with a charity walk/run in which they included rucking. Being this is the first I've heard of it on the Civilian side I assumed it was something they didn't do.

I would check with RIKR Defence. Their 'Military Applied Sport' is just getting started, but some of the events involve rucking.

SSgt Josiah Brainard - I feel this post at least from my perspective should be high lighted under the humor listings, I put my rucksack down (should say thrown down) in July of 1967 RVN ,at that time a most solemn promise was made ,never again to be tortured by that infernal piece of aluminum and nylon,but seeing that you are young and fit may you enjoy this form of exercise ,but for the life of me,can't you just go to the gym?

University of Indiana puts on the Norwegian Death March every October. Foreign award and all.

The Death March should be coming up in New Mexico in remembrance of the Bataan march in WWII. That's pretty challenging and fun to participate in. The years I went there were several Bataan survivors there to visit with. Well worth going to.

Nothing now but White sands does the Batton March every spring combat heavy is what you want. It is an approved marathon course 26.2 1/2 on the road and 1/2 on trails in the mountains
