Is anyone else sick to death of hearing about Bowe Bergdahl?

He is everywhere now, on here, all the major news outlets, and the other social networking sites. I know what I believe, and have as much on other posts about him. With everything being said for and against this individual without a completed investigation about his whether he went AWOL, or deserted, I agree he should not be tried in the court of public opinion. That being said, we had soldiers during the Vietnam war who for longer periods than this person. They were tortured damn near to death and never "forgot" how to speak English, yet he was in "captivity" for 5 years and apparently has forgotten how to speak it. So much for my .02, what do the rest of you have to say?

Yes. I personally find it incredible how many outspoken, so-called "subject matter experts" there are on Bergdahl.

I mean hey, I don't know the guy, I wasn't there and although I know people who know people who were there...well that's neither here nor there. I just pray for him, his family and the families of the Soldiers who gave their lives in the search for him.

I think the government would like us to stop talking about it but I think we as those that served in the Armed Forces deserve answers. I think he will remain on the tip of many tongues for more time to come even if the media stops reporting on him like they did when he was away with the Taliban.

I think this will be like any other hot topic. It will keep going until people get tired of talking about it. Personally, like you, I know what I believe so anything else said is not really going to change my view until official reports come out.

That being said, I am more concerned about the actions of the administration and what is going on that they are not telling us. My gut tells me there is more to this than meets the eye, and we may never know all the truth about it. transparent administrations such as the current one like to tell us all they think we need to know, or the truth as perceived by them, but that is nowhere near the whole story or truth.

Just a feeling Charles, but I do not think this story would get the attention of many if it were not for the circumstances leading up to his release. At least that is what bothers me the most. i am thankful he is home and believe justice will be done in time, however, even if he was punished or found innocent will not make the story go away because the mystery around the administrations actions.

What does anyone think of the President's interview with Brian Williams the other night when he said, "I make no apologies for it. It was a unanimous decision among my principals in my government, and a view that was shared by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This is something I would do again and will continue to do whenever I have an opportunity."

What is this "my government" he speaks of and what happened to "by the people, for the people, of the people?"

The news media has several 24 hour outlets and need to fill in every detail of every "story". Soon we will see helicopters following a white Bronco that may or may not contain Bergdahl, stopping at a 7-11 for what appears to be a Big Gulp. Followed full expert analysis on the flavor choice and size.

Yes, get him home, get him debriefed and get to the bottom of the issues surrounding his conduct. Then simply let us know what the outcome is.

I'm with you, my opinion or any of the so called experts doesn't make a hill of beans. But I think the investigation was completed and Bergdahl was classified as a deserter. Now, there may be new evidence available for reopening the case.

Whether he deserted or he got captured, I'm glad he got home. If he did desert, I'm sure he regretted it.
