Can't think of a reason why someone would unless there is a unit policy against it.Response by LTC John Griscom made Feb 22 at 2020 8:27 AM2020-02-22T08:27:59-05:002020-02-22T08:27:59-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5587966<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I can’t find anything in 670-1 that specifically prohibits this, but I would infer its prohibition from DA PAM 670-1 4-7. o. <br /><br />The Army has not manufactured a great deal of combat pants in OCP at this time, so there is a good chance that those pants were OEF-CP, which is no longer authorized.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2020 11:12 AM2020-02-22T11:12:55-05:002020-02-22T11:12:55-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member5588422<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think that one would be up to Commander's discretion, as theres not a lot of literature on its authorization or prohibition.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2020 2:01 PM2020-02-22T14:01:53-05:002020-02-22T14:01:53-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5588502<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You'll be in an infantry battalion, no one will care. But you will look silly if you are wearing them and you don't have any training that day. Also, most of those pants are in the old pattern that is no longer authorized for wear. OEF pattern was phased out in October and only OCP uniforms (doesn't apply to TA-50 or issued gear) are authorized for wear.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2020 2:37 PM2020-02-22T14:37:11-05:002020-02-22T14:37:11-05:00SFC Ritchie Inns7599640<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Knee pads in field pants?? That would’ve been nice to have. I wouldn’t have all of these knee problems now.Response by SFC Ritchie Inns made Mar 30 at 2022 6:10 PM2022-03-30T18:10:14-04:002022-03-30T18:10:14-04:002020-02-22T08:02:54-05:00
