Is OPSEC a concern here? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-opsec-a-concern-here

Hey all,
I'm new to this whole RP thing. Usually stay away from social media. When I saw a place that I could connect with a whole community of people like me I thought wow this is great.
As I read through stories posted on here I see a lot of information posted, some very personal. So my question is, is this site secure? I know I had to get verified before I could access a lot of stuff but it didn't seem to take much.
Can anyone tell me how we can be sure we are just sharing our ideas and stories in a safe place? I stress OPSEC to the soldiers below me and I don't want to make a hippocrite of myself.
Thanks all. Look at it this way you wouldn't want to jeopardize the safety of yourself so I would you put anything on any social media platform that would harm the mission? Non-verified members and guests generally can't see full names, pictures or full member profiles. You can also adjust your personal settings to restrict what even the verified members can see.

As far as posts involving information, anyone can visit RP and read posts so members should still err on the side of caution when discussing things, particularly operational information. The good thing is the administration is made up of enough service members that they can judge whether or not something might include a little too much information and they can handle it accordingly.
