I’ve even heard some argue that the ACU isn’t authorized whatsoever with a boot. I have dug through AR 670-1 and AR 40-501 but can’t find anything that even comes close to addressing this. Ideas? Is the APFU authorized while wearing a boot? 2019-10-30T09:17:31-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 5182176 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a medic in a medical readiness unit, and I’ve always heard that when a soldier has a medically necessary boot (such as a splinting device or a cast) that the soldier is authorized to wear the APFU for the duration of boot-wearing. The Soldier has to wear clothes. The Soldier has to wear the boot. If they are required to wear the boot at all times while going thru recovery, but aren&#39;t authorized OCP or APFU while wearing the boot, then what are they supposed to wear? Is the Command going to let them come to work wearing civilian attire and the boot? Then NO RANK can say otherwise not even the Highest rank in any branch of the military. It would be a law suit that nobody will want to be involved in. I know this as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and stood by Navy &amp; Marine Corps alike.
