I see no political correctness here. What I see is a one size fits all regulation that the parents don't like. If they cant waer Dallas Cowboys or Dallas Stars logos then I guess I don't see the issue

Well, based on what I read... As much as I hate to say it, the dress code is what it is, and the discrepancy was specifically spelled out... In which case, the parents are wrong and rather than to admit they did not read/understand the policy fully or correctly, decided, instead, to use patriotism to justify their actions; as the school is not saying the logos are not allowed, just that their size do not meet the schools policy on logos...

It's something, that's for sure. Political correctness is an infringement on freedom of speech disguised as politeness -- that is, we should not say or display any message or symbol that may offend someone. Even the symbols of our nation, including our national flag, appear to be offensive to someone.

That being said, I am also adverse to the concept of "Zero Tolerance" in all of its applications. It is employed in schools where everything, not just courses, are perceived by students as lessons. What is the lesson of Zero Tolerance? Justice is capricious. Defend yourself from a bully? You'll be punished. Such policies are easily enforced. There is no requirement for mature judgment, judiciousness. Teachers need only react without thought or consideration. Why do we hire them? We could just as easily program robots to deliver Common Core lesson plans and expel students without regard for rational consideration, and save ourselves a helluva lot of money, couldn't we?

PC is nothing other than a liberal socialist agenda to replace moral tenants with the pretense of a non offensive totalitarian world view. Political correctness hides ideologies, truths and history. It is denial. Its purpose is to keep society ignorant. The logo's is to big today, tomorrow its the wrong color and so on until everyone is goose stepping in perfect unison.

People should read the entire article instead of the headline and paragraph one. This AF vet is so out of hand on this it's embarrassing . Making his twins feel victimized and especially patriotic for making this rediculous stand will not serve them well on life. Although the maximum logo size at the school seems woefully small, it is an established standard there that this family felt only applies to others.

It simply is the dress code. There are no logo exceptions in there. It doesn't matter if it is a military logo. Those are the rules.
