The case will play out in court where it belongs. Anything else would look like a whitewash and would garner more public dismay. The only thing I find interesting at this Junction is that there are going to be separate trials it sounds like for each individual officer. Sounds to me like someone (individual) is going to take the big dive on this one. I’m fairly confident there is the possibility of negligence on the part of the Officers. Continuing the case in Baltimore however does leave me concerned about the possibility of a fair trial. This one is going to drag on for a while and you can expect the city to have many more days of disruption, protest and riots. I’m not a fan of Baltimore to start with. Been there a few times and was less than impressed. The Police there already have an extremely difficult job to start with. Taking a job as a Baltimore police officer is like signing up for an entire career in a combat zone. Nope not this guy. Best thing a resident of Baltimore can do is move away. Be refugee to another city or town just escape while you can. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 03 Sep 2015 03:48:15 -0400 2015-09-03T03:48:15-04:00 Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 3 at 2015 2:33 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/judge-refuses-to-dismiss-charges-against-police-officers-in-the-death-of-freddie-gray-what-are-your-thoughts?n=938177&urlhash=938177 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Defense counsel sought to have the case dismissed because of alleged misconduct from the prosecutor. While the allegation is a serious one that may have some merit--this issue is appropriately handled by the Attorney Grievance Committee in Maryland. If the committee finds misconduct occurred then it has the power to take remedial action. Defense counsel would have pursued this course of action if they thought it had enough merit. Hopefully, the judge's comments will serve as a fair-warning to the prosecutor to be careful what she says to the media. The fact Defense counsel succeeded in getting the officers tried separately is a strong legal victory for the officers. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 03 Sep 2015 14:33:44 -0400 2015-09-03T14:33:44-04:00 Response by MCPO Roger Collins made Sep 3 at 2015 4:47 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/judge-refuses-to-dismiss-charges-against-police-officers-in-the-death-of-freddie-gray-what-are-your-thoughts?n=938626&urlhash=938626 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I see six opportunities to riot and kill each other, as evidenced by the past. And the LEOs are not going to do much to prevent it, unless forced to do so. A change in venue has to be agreed to by defense and prosecutors. Do you think that will happen? As stated, this will have to play out in court and the justice system should deal with the police officers just as they should do if it were you or me.
