Just finished the MEB process. Anyone going through it have any questions for me?

So a few months back I finished my MEB process and I am now out. It was a pretty long and annoying process and everyone I talked to while going through it had never been through it and was only talking about what they have heard. It was always"my friend this..." Or "my friend that.." I just received my first disability compensation a little while back and it was a sigh of relief! I would like to extend any one a hand who feels like they are drowning in the process, or maybe you just got a permanent profile and are wondering what the process is all about. I will tell it too you straight and may be able to give you a few hints on how to speed it up. My process took 6 months from the issuing of my permanent profile to being on terminal leave. Six months is a short time for that process. What percentage did you get from the VA?

Great post , since they implemented the IDES program 6 mo seems the average. In my job I not only am dealing with my MEB but am assisting my Soldiers in my unit with there individual Soldier it can be quite daunting at times

I’ve been through the PEB process – I guess my question is “are you receiving VA disability or did you get military retirement as well?” If you’re receiving military retirement, that is what I’m primarily interested in. Thanks and I hope you received a favorable decision!

Do you have any suggestions on talking with the board in order to get them to rate a previously unrated disability?

I have two questions.
1) They didn't do the ROM on my unfitting condition, didn't even pull out the goniometer . What can I do since they said in the narsum that I resisted and gave me the lowest possible rating.
2) I am at the. Ed of the process by just getting back my form 199 and my VA ratings. What can or should I do to have Fibromyalgia added to my process?

Last week received my P3 profile and it said referred for MEB. I know this takes time but was wondering how would I know if the referral for the MEB was accepted / started? I am non deployable, medical readiness red, ERB states MRC3 PC RP. I'm just waiting and not hearing anything though it has only been six days.

I’ve been going through this process for a year now and still have not met with the va. My Peblo is the worst and has basically held me up by 6 months all bc she didn’t get a single signature from my doctor this whole time. She kept giving me the run around for 6 months but my MTL spoke with her once and she got it done in the same day and the va finally called me later the same day. I’m very frustrated with her so I try not to go back and speak with her too often for fear that I may not be able to control my frustration. If I talk to the patient advocate (who gets paid to do absolutely nothing) at the hospital she is of no help at all and tells me I’m upset bc I’m stuck in limbo and I just have to wait like everyone else. The problem with that is I’m not waiting for the same reasons everyone else is. Due to my illnesses I’m unable to take care of myself at times bc if I was fine I would have no problem “waiting like everyone else”. I would like to seek medical treatment at home bc the doctors here are just keep me on high doses of steroids that are not even helping me. I am unable to leave base, I’m housed with disciplinary airman and I’m being kept basically as a prisoner that’s allowed to have a cell phone at this point. Does anyone know who I can speak with that may be able to help me get out of this situation? I have already been pushed back by 6 months and being kept in these conditions is both mentally and physically disturbing to my health. The doctors want to put me on con-leave but said they can’t bc I had to have had a surgery recently. Sorry if my comment sounds like a rant.

So for this transition leave. Will it be deducted from my cred balance or my ets balance. I don't know how it works with MEB.

I know this was made 4 years ago... but if you are still seeing these notifications I have questions! Been going through this process for a long time now and am close to tying up all the strings but its overwhelming. Thank you much!
