CPT Aaron Kletzing 1157

You are the senior NCO of your unit. It’s 2200 hrs, and
you’re in the motor pool doing a walk-through prior to tomorrow morning’s 100%
inventory inspections. Suddenly you notice that one of your vehicles is missing
its long whip antenna. “I know someone stole it,” you think to yourself. As
you walk back to your car, you see another unit’s vehicle parked in its spot,
and it has the same long whip antenna you’re missing. It’s not secured. No one
will see if you take it. What would you do? Leadership Challenge: What would you do? 2013-10-17T18:31:58-04:00 CPT Aaron Kletzing 1157

You are the senior NCO of your unit. Report the loss to the Commander and XO as theft.2. Notify supply to adjust the shortage annex.3. Initiate a FLIPL.4. Request the missing part5. Speak with the sharing unit's CSM about the issue without passing blame.6. Secure all BII in a storage locker/container.This type of thing happens with drip pans and chock blocks all the time. I agree with all that was said, but on the other hand, just leave a note on the windshield with a number and let them know that you will return it after the inspections?
