I'm working on a personal project that's focused on portraits of World War II veterans in the Atlanta area. I'm doing this with a fellow Army veteran as a way to pay homage to these heroes before it's too late. If you know of a WWII veteran in the Atlanta area, please contact me. Thanks!

Sir,
I think another possibility would be the RP search engine, plug in certain organizations or locations and it should bring up personnel for both those types of org's and locations of veterans and retirees.
Just a thought.
