MECCAP vs MINSAP (35N)

I am a 35N looking for some career broadening. I am currently an Instructor for the 10 level course and have been for a few years.
 
I was looking into the internships offered by the NSA for my MOS. One is the Middle Enlisted Cryptologic Career Advancment Program (MECCAP) and the other is the Military Intern SIGINT Analysts Program (MINSAP). I am considering applying for one of these, but am not sure which.
 
I have attempted to find information on the programs and have come up with very little. I can understand that, due to thier nature. However, can anybody explain to me (in broad terms if necessary) what is the difference between them?

I know you posted this seven months ago, but I'll answer in case you or anyone else want to learn about MECCAP/MINSAP. The best information you're going to find on these two programs will be on high-side, as they are NSA programs. You should also look up the MILPER messages that apply to each program for that year. They contain the details on the application packet and process.

As far as the difference, I believe MINSAP is a more technical and regimented program, while MECCAP is focused on creating a well-rounded cryptologic leader and allows more latitude in choosing where you work.

If you have to access to the NSA, you have to submit a packet. There is a process to grant you the access. However, there is a new policy coming out regarding this process. If your process takes longer than a year to complete, you may have to re-class. If you access get denied, you won't get a NSA account anywhere. It is all centralized now.

I actually participated in Middle Enlisted
Cryptologic Career Advancement Program. Meccap is typically suited for 2621/CTR (Navy). Usually competitive E6 or E7's.. I attended and it opened my eyes to who is actually 'doing the work' in national Intelligence distribution and analysis.
