They are overused with so many meanings nobody really knows what someone is trying to express. At ease could be for a 1SG or CSM entering a building or is it that everyone is talking too loud so be quiet or maybe it is someone telling you to lock it up and respect who you are talking to. Hooah could mean anything from yes I am excited to go put that where the sun does not shine but you have no idea based on the word, but only through their body language if you happen to see it.
