It's not extensive but gives an idea of what the PA Guard has done over it's history. Bragg), and the U.S. Army Chemical School Museum (Ft. Leonard Wood). The ASOM has a lot of really well-done displays and great artifacts. The 82nd museum has a lot of great artifacts ranging from World War I to the current conflicts. The Chemical Museum has a lot of great history and tells the story of the Chemical Corps from the fledgling Chemical Warfare Service of World War I to the highly technical branch that it is today. We got to see quite a few static displays and some of them had been used in movies.They had a picnic area where we had lunch. If you go, don't miss Washington's Chapel. Talk about hallowed ground! The Park Service maintains a good book store in the park. Lots of fascinating displays of milataria. Their display of period medical instruments is extensive.<br /><br />When I was stationed at Ramstein AB in the '70s, I got to drive to Paris for the Paris Air Show. The roads from Germany to Paris all have war memorials from one war or another. Verdun was impressive with the Massive military cemetery that seemed to stretch forever. But Chateau Thierry was awesome. The memorial built there for American Doughboys in the 1920s will give you an idea of the casualties suffered there. If you end up in Germany, make the trip to Paris. Thye Nazi uniforms in Picture (1) the uniform on Adolph Hitler for instance came right out of Hitlers closet. Picture (3) shows actual German Enigma code machines. The Picture of General Patton that is His own helmet on the head of the wax figure of Patton. The picture of the prisoner was worn in a Nazi concentration camp. A section on London the air raid sirens are heard and the sound of exploding bombs. There is a web site that shows even more including the location and how it can be visited. This Museum is well worth the trip and I&#39;ve been a few times.
