No contact order between enlisted & officer

Just out of curiosity if there's a no contact order between an officer and enlisted soldier; if you happen to accidentally cross paths with one another in uniform (outside) would the enlisted/officer have to turn around or what without saluting? Would that be disrespect or what??

The no contact order is to keep two people from purposefully meeting and engaging with each other. If they were to randomly cross paths with one another, the proper courtesy and greeting of the day would be appropriate, and then the two must move on to wherever they were heading to. If they were both going to the same place, it would be wise if one of them chose to move on to another location as soon as possible to relieve the impression that something was amiss and out of order.

SPC Private RallyPoint Member, it wasn't a 'disrespect the courtesies of the military' order, was it?

Accidentally crossing the paths happens in situations like this. If you were both to walk around the corner outside and 'there you are', then salutes are exchanged and you both continue on. If one of you engages the other, then they are violating the order.

I'm assuming this is similar in nature to a restraining order or civilian no contact order due to some form of legal action?

Is this no contact order due to some civil issue or a military investigation or judicial proceeding? Context is important, but even if there is incidental 'crossing of paths' one would be expected to render appropriate military customs and move.

your question is kind of vague, your in a operating room with nurses and doctors, if there is no contact, how do you do your job? may of read the question wrong
