OCP/MultiCams at home station https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/ocp-multicams-at-home-station

So I am AD Air Force and deploying with OCPs, while I was TDY a lot of the students were saying that you were authorized to wear OCPs if you were within 60 days of deploying. Never got a reg, is this valid? Is there an ammendment to 36-2903 or something? I would wager no one would question you wearing them enroute but wearing them for a month straight and someone is gonna question you. The only people in the Air Force wearing OCP stateside is Global Strike Command Security Forces assigned to the missile fields, Airman attached to Army units that authorize it or people in SOC. I hope and pray that the Air Force will see what a huge mistake they are making by delaying the adoption of it though so that we can all wear it stateside. There has been numerous recommendations on the API page however they are all "In Review" along with thousands of other suggestions that will likely never see the light of day.

I think our best bet would be when we see our new COS next year as I know General Welsh isn't even considering it. Maybe if General Rand gets the COS position since he is GSC and sees that it is an effective stateside and overseas pattern with his defenders he will implement it. I will keep praying for it. I remember desert camouflage, and only a few days before deploying were they allowed to wear this. Not sure!! I would recommend contacting your Unit Deployment Manager. Think they should bring back fatigues. MSgt Matthew Meindl Fri, 25 Sep 2015 18:27:21 -0400 2015-09-25T18:27:21-04:00 2015-09-24T22:41:45-04:00
