Old US facilities in Europe being used for refugees?

Looks like one of the places I lived in Germany, Budingen, is being looked at by Chinese investors. I keep seeing stories like this, where old US facilities in Europe, handed back over to the local government are being used for refugees or other types of low-income housing.

Anyone else seeing this, especially from up close?

LTC Private RallyPoint Member, I can't say that I object to foreign governments using our old facilities for whatever purpose they deem appropriate. It's a sweet deal for them because I'm confident they received the infrastructure from the U.S. government at a very low price - if not for free!

From my understanding that Fort McPherson is trying to be sold to Tyler Perry for a movie studio. The VA took over the clinic and some the buildings around it for a south side presence. However, there are no done deals and the following site has information about the redevelopment efforts at Ft. McPherson.
