We have be given our right shoulder insignia from our brigade, However many people are asking / wondering about the regulations on wearing the OIR patch, If our orders state we were apart of OIR. Does any one have any solid info or regulation on this? The insignia is awarded to Soldiers who are deployed in combat zones for 30 days or more. This is not dependent on whether or not the higher headquarters deployed, or to whom the Soldiers were attached throughout their deployment. Back in the day, we switched left sleeve patch to right sleeve. No one cared what patch you wore.
