The traffic is lite. It is best to reach out to a reputable Realtor agency in the are. At the same time homes for sale by Soldiers are usually listed at the housing office, so contacting them may help. Good luck. I reside off base as well, not in Hinesville though, give or take the 20 minutes drive is challenging. If can call or get into to contact with your sponsor, they should be able to guide you as well. I lived 10min from Stewart and it still took more then 20 both ways to get to and from Stewart so make your plans map out the area and then decide Response by SGT(P) Kenneth Jones made Feb 9 at 2022 3:05 PM 2022-02-09T15:05:40-05:00 2022-02-09T15:05:40-05:00 MSG David Lambert 7521578 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Spec Pittman, thank you for serving. I was stationed at Ft Stewart from 1976-1977 with the 92nd Eng Bn. Both off post and on in family housing was an interesting experience. If you like outside activities, on base base some nice areas. However be careful with small kids fishing in the ponds and lakes, rivers. There are gators everywhere and snakes. Also wild boars on base. Great shopping in Savanna and historic architecture. Have a great tour of duty! In all honesty Hinesville really isn’t the best town unless you find a good neighborhood which there are only few to reference. Lots of negative commotion going on around constantly in Hinesville to say the least.
