SGT Marcus Bright6823552<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served in the Marine Corps from 2011 to 2015 and is now currently serving in the Army National Guard with a ets date for Feb 2022. I plan on going Active Duty and my question is since I’m a 88m will I have the opportunity to reclass to either a 13F or 19k? And I also am MOS qualified for 13B from my Marine Corps years. And I’m going to BLC this October so will a possible promotion to SGT have any affects on a possible reclass?Possible reclass when going from Army National Guard to Active Duty?2021-03-14T18:49:23-04:00SGT Marcus Bright6823552<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served in the Marine Corps from 2011 to 2015 and is now currently serving in the Army National Guard with a ets date for Feb 2022. If you make E5 yes that changes what opportunities that will be available to you but again that depends on is that’s an option at all and when you do it.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2021 7:15 PM2021-03-14T19:15:58-04:002021-03-14T19:15:58-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member6823793<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are many factors to consider. First, the strength of the MOSs you want to go into, second the current strength of your current MOS. If you current MOS is over strength in the Active Army, there is a better chance for you to reclassify. Also, the strength of the MOSs you want, they must be balance or under-strength in the Active Army. Additionally, you line scores need to meet the requirements of the MOSs requested and your security clearance. Finally, the Active Army will determine your grade upon entry.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2021 8:08 PM2021-03-14T20:08:25-04:002021-03-14T20:08:25-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6823888<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You'll have the opportunity to reclass to what the Army needs at that time on that day if they need it, have class seats for it, and you qualify for it.. You'll find out what that is the day you're sitting in the chairResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2021 9:07 PM2021-03-14T21:07:41-04:002021-03-14T21:07:41-04:002021-03-14T18:49:23-04:00
