You'll have to ask a recruiter.

The likely situation is that the condition will be noted and will require a waiver to enlist.

However, don't take any of our advice on it - she'll have to talk to the recruiter and see what is possible.Response by COL Randall C. made Sep 21 at 2022 8:47 AM2022-09-21T08:47:09-04:002022-09-21T08:47:09-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member7889821

This will depend on the type of cancer. Searching the DoDI 6130.03 with just the term "cancer" gave only a few results for specific types. Using "malignancy," "malignant," and other key words showed other results. The best advice for your friend is to seek out a Recruiter. A waiver will more than likely have to be submitted.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2022 9:39 AM2022-09-21T09:39:37-04:002022-09-21T09:39:37-04:002LT Private RallyPoint Member7889826

Like the other gentlemen said, definitely ask a recruiter.
