So, I&#39;d have to say that it depends on what a potential &#39;paid account&#39; is intended for... for example for the average user, I believe membership should&amp;nbsp;remain free (or RP could risk being considered obsolete/irrelevant by many users,&amp;nbsp;like what happened to Classmates or TWS, meanwhile &#39;free-to-the user&#39;&amp;nbsp;platforms like FB &amp;amp; LI flourished); recruiters (along w/ those who have the need to target market to a military audience) could potentially pay a&amp;nbsp;reasonable fee, just as long as it doesn&#39;t affect the average user and their perceived usefulness/utility of the site.&amp;nbsp; At the end of the day, the site&amp;nbsp;will need&amp;nbsp;to pull a profit; though my gut tells me that if members are charged, or free accounts were to become &quot;watered down&quot; in any way,&amp;nbsp;the audience/usership/utility of the site&amp;nbsp;could dry up nearly as fast as it has grown thus far.&amp;nbsp; I&#39;m very excited about the direction that RP is heading,&amp;nbsp;and I&#39;d like to see&amp;nbsp;it&amp;nbsp;remain useful and accessible&amp;nbsp;to a wide audience (meaning free of charge to the average user w/o watered down services), if it remains free and useful, the site will likely continue to grow at an exponential rate.&amp;nbsp; In short, if anyone is charged at all, I believe it should be outside sources like advertisers, universities, and/or recruiters.&amp;nbsp; Thanks again for posting...&amp;nbsp; Great question!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Response by Col Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 6 at 2013 7:14 PM 2013-12-06T19:14:40-05:00 2013-12-06T19:14:40-05:00 CW3(P) Private RallyPoint Member 16639 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also just saw this. <div class="pta-link-card"><br /><div class="pta-link-card-picture"><img src="http://socialtimes.com/files/2013/12/Yinon-Aaron.jpg"></div><br /><div class="pta-link-card-content"><br /><div class="pta-link-card-title"><a href="http://socialtimes.com/qa-yinon-weiss-on-building-social-network-rallypoint-to-connect-the-military-and-employers_b138688" target="_blank">Q&amp;A: Yinon Weiss on Building Social Network RallyPoint to Connect the Military and Employers - SocialTimes</a></div><br /><div class="pta-link-card-description">SocialTimes recently caught up with Yinon Weiss, co-founder of RallyPoint, a social network that connects current and former military and employers. LinkedIn was great at first, but now there is so much spam/fake accounts that it's ridiculous now. I would say it depends on what the functionality of the premium accounts are. Predatory lending, fly by night marketers, and "we are hiring" spam could poison what I think is a pretty solid with the right/wrong capabilities.
