President Trump said he hadn't heard anything about Standing Rock? Is it because it wasn't on his twitter account? Have you heard of SR?

Two live feeds came up on my Facebook page within minutes of each other. One from President Trump and one from Chase Iron Eyes. President Trump claims he never heard a thing about Standing Rock. Waves of veterans have formed to surround the Water Protectors as they relocate. The resolve of the Native American tribes is stronger than ever and they are angry about being placated in Nov with lies.

Just me but if the issue is about going under the lake with the pipeline then why not go around it and build containment and catchment ponds to divert any potential spillage away from the lake. No rocket science needed, surface lay it, berm it and divert spillage.

Maj Kim Patterson - Honestly when I hear standing rock, the pipelines not what pops in my mind because there are other standing rocks. If you asked me tomorrow after reading all the articles today that's what I'd focus on.
Seriously though these things can and are built safely.
My empathy level is a little low on this one as we just recently had an ugly power line upgrade and big noisy wind turbines imposed on our mountain views back east. But I like the lights to come on when I flip the switch.

CSM Richard StCyr - Some of the responses indicate most of the posters are more interested in continuing the Trump attacks even more than researching the DAP history and understanding the events leading up to this EO. Like the program was approved by the Army Core of Engineering, disapproved, then approving it. The rerouting or the methodology for protecting the water source.

CSM Richard StCyr - It would be interesting if they had to heat with firewood this winter. Hauling fuel could result in a spill that could contaminate the water or lands.
