Now big thanks to my friend, he was in the Marines prior to coming to the NG. When we were deployed he quizzed me on Chesty Puller ans Marine trivia daily. Now for some of you who don't know, Chesty Puller's son, Lewis Puller Jr, died around 1994 after committing suicide and in April 17, 1982, USS Lewis B. Puller FFG-23 was commissioned at NAS Long Beach, California.
