If I was to enter the same branch would I retain my rank and would there be any additional requirements for re-enlisting besides an RE-1 code. If I was to Lateral Move into a new MOS in a new branch would I retain rank or would there be a reduction, if so why and what are the stipulations? The sure answer would be the recruiter and some research for the branch your trying to go in.

At the beginning of the drawdown the only a few MOSs would be accepted to active duty and no reclass. You had a better chance if you had airborne. Army Reserve was easy though. It really depends on if we continue on a drawdown or not. No reASVAB just rephysical and lots of paperwork

If you have obtained a bachelors degree then I would suggest you talk to an officer recruiter of all branches of service you may be interested in. Pay and benefits as an "0" can be more beneficial for yourself and your family as a careerist, and your future retirement. <br /><br />Good luck!!
