Should you, as the rated individual, request a complete the record evaluation to show your competency level in that position to increase your chances of getting selected? You want the board to see what you have been doing(as long as its good). The only time a complete the record NCOER is warranted or authorized is for a promotion board. If not it would have to wait for a COR or Annual. If you meet the requirement you should always, ALWAYS do a complete the record NCOER. I was hoping the conversation was going to gain more traction for others to see the benefits and when it is warranted. Greatly appreciate the input. 1SG Eric Rice Tue, 03 Feb 2015 05:40:44 -0500 2015-02-03T05:40:44-05:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 17 at 2015 11:25 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/senior-enlisted-board-is-it-favorable-to-have-a-complete-the-record-evaluation-ncoer-in-your-board-file?n=1182039&urlhash=1182039

Thank you all. I was just pondering this for the upcoming MSG board.

My last rater thought it was cool to give me a 2-2 with so-so bullets( I had back surgery where I was out for three months, was deeply depressed and had undiagnosed PTSD during rated period). Just enough to not raise an eyebrow from the chain of command but enough to swift boat me during board time.

All my ncoers before that, at my current grade(about 4) were 1-1 with great bullets. All from a different rater.

Will doing a complete the record help me? SFC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 17 Dec 2015 11:25:59 -0500 2015-12-17T11:25:59-05:00 2015-01-28T21:54:30-05:00
